You've done it again Bob, excellent post.

{The young me} would immediately respond to this situation with: We kicked their ass TWICE. They burned our Government to the ground and our response . . . We are the reason they speak English and not German.

I'd call that limey twat up and or any interview I would not speak to her in any language except German.
"Spreckenz Deutch Bitte?"

{The old me,} I hang my head and I cry.

Well...from what I heard of him, I can already tell Savage is not my type of guy, but I support his right to speak his peace.

So, Robert. Is this a case of "someone did something to my guy and I'm mad" or do you really feel your rights as an American citizen are eroded because another sovereign nation doesn't follow our Constitution?

Savage is not my kind of dude either, and he does cross over to anger and borderline hate sometimes, but he does not incite violence, and including him on this list is ridiculous. I can't speak for Bob, but I'm bothered that a great nation like England has taken such a drastic step.

Dars - Gracias! (New American language)

HAAW - I applaud your service, and we'll take up the fight now! (Hangs head and cries with you)

Steve - I'm not entirely sure what your political stance is, but I think you're fairly pragmatic. Which confuses me why you don't think you'd get Dr. Savage. . .
Aaand uh . . .

You pose a nice query, so allow me to elaborate; Do I think that someone did something to my guy and now I'm mad?

I'd like to think that if the same action was taken against Sean Penn or some other "left wing" or "liberal" person I'd take up the same cause.

I do remember being ticked that 'Brokeback Mountain' was not shown in Utah - because I think it's silly to censor something just because you're afraid of it or what message is being shared. (Which by the way ended up being a very good movie - with no gay agenda whatsoever).

Do I feel that my rights are eroded?

No - Thankfully here in the U.S. we still are able to freely practice our right. However - I do not like the direction that this banning of an orator who has not taken on any 'Hate' speech or incited any violence - and has not broken any laws in the U.S. has not been charged by the F.C.C. for any such 'Hate' Speech or racist language - as Don Imus has (which I was quite upset over and voiced my opinion on our local radio programs).

This issue isn't as cavalier as those phony and profit-seeking conservatives like Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh who think that just because no one is throwing pot shots at Obama that America is now a socialist country (we are not) - this is where a law-abiding citizen of the United States of America is banned from another sovereign nation (supposedly our ally) just because of what he believes and says.

Aaron - Thanks for showing up.

Correction - Brokeback Mountain WAS shown in Utah, just not by any Larry Miller theatres.

Aaron - reenactments in your backyard with your "HOMe Teacher" doesn't count.

When "The Pav" started singing, I grabbed my cell, since that song is my ringtone...only to find out, to my complete shock, it was on your audio!

Is Bob your real name? I will have to admit your blog is the Eskimosest.
