The Dimmed Light - the draw of the final curtain
And so it ends...
Sunday marks the last day of the post of The Official Blog of Steven M. Adami.
You may have noticed that I haven't posted anything since last Tuesday. This has been to honor Steve. The intention behind the act wasn't well known, which is appropriate since Steve's blog wasn't that well known either.
Steve's last entry was actually a few days ago - but he will pull the plug on the site effective June 1st. So will end the arduous days of http://isqueezefish.blogspot.com.
Steve has been and will continue to be a monumental presence in my life. Mostly because he still owes me about $23,000 plus interest for a little 'job' I did for him back in '93. He is the funniest person I know - and I know a lot of funny people. His humor is subtle like a jackhammer and svelte like Debbie Lee. His humor is heartbreaking and awkward - like a nerdy teenager, and . . . most of all - it's loving; like a gentle caressing of the tongue to a teat of a cow, with a hurried - yet apprehensive suckle manipulating that piece of flesh to produce the lactation of life fluid.
Steve has and will be an inspiration in my creative outlets; in College he was part of a comedy troupe in which I bastardized myself into through various re-tellings and has made its way into my resume. We would go to various all-you-can-eat buffets and come up with various skits and games for the troupe to do. I always felt like I was behind when it came to Steve's aptitude of comedy. Well - now he's stepping aside.
So now the gloves are off bitches. Get ready for some Eskimo! EBL will be back up and running in its full naked glory Monday June 1st. Remind me to tell you about 'Baby Raping' sometime in the future.
