Tell me something True

This is a painting depicting Truth being saved from Falsehood and Envy. I'm not sure who painted it. I wonder what Falsehood and Envy say to each other for consolation after being bested by a geriatric communist.

I don't know who is doing the saving, if any of you know. Please be sure to pass on the knowledge, after all: Knowing is half the battle.

When it comes to art, truthfully, it's nearly all the same to me. Do you think you have to have some knowledge about it before you actually get moved by it? I don't think there is a drawing or painting that has "spoken" to me. I enjoy classical music, and will listen to it quite frequently. However much I listen to Vivaldi's Seasons, I can't quite tell the difference between them. Handel's "Water Music" I can get the gist that it has something to do with water. Pachelbel's Canon in D, I don't quite see artillery.

What art moves you? When art speaks, what does it say? I knew a man named Art. He was a history buff, and I would often go to visit and a quick visit usually turned into a several hour conversation. We would also talk about movies, but he would talk about older movies. That was a lot of fun too. I can dig movies - some even move me. Although when it comes to story telling, and you have to realize the inner turmoil is depicted by the way a shadow falls upon someone's face then I get lost on that.

So - let me hear from you. . . oh, by the way - you will notice to the left, your right - a Guest Book. If you visit, please leave a note. It's a polite thing to do - you wouldn't show up to a funeral without signing the guest book right? Also - tomorrow and Thursday will be bring a friend to Eskimo Bob's. It'll be fun.

Good question. I think there are as many answers as people you could ask. Art can be very subjective. Great idea for a blog post.

Thanks for adding nothing of intrinsic value to this. Ass.

I wonder why no one else posts anything on here?

Good question. I don't think you're appreciated in your time. I think a lot of people come through, but very few care to say anything. I have the same problem. My sense of self worth goes up and down based on my blog comments. I need a drink.

I suppose if I don't brow beat folks to a quivering mass of jelly that may help . . .
