Good morning my followers. What a day this Monday is looking to become. After two weeks off for Christmas break, what does our school system do? Of course, takes a teacher in-service day. Apparently two full weeks was not enough time to get everything taken care of. So I'm home taking care of our two progenies. This extra time off has given me time to reflect and ponder this newest blog.
There is a lot going on today - today is my friend Steve's 34th birthday. Happy Birthday Steve, I think you are the funniest person in the world and appreciate your friendship, even if it's to "borrow" all of my money.
My blog associate Pearl introduced me to this great new site, wherein you are exposed to some of the funniest blogs on this the cyberspace. I think it's great, because you can basically vote on it yourself, so if you are so inclined you can open up all of the free e-mail accounts and vote for yourself. Brilliant!
Also - the most important, the Evolution of Dance 2 is making its debut on the Today show this morning. I can not think of starting the week off to a better start than the Youtube sensation.
As you can see, a lot going on. So I better get started on this blog.
I was thinking - the more things change, the more they stay the same. For example: back in the day the Native American's of the lower 48 kind would communicate with each other by using smoke signals. I learned about this from various sources: Gunsmoke, The Lone Ranger, and the episode when Opie was an 'Injun' on The Andy Griffith Show. You know - using smoke signals does not allow for much private conversation.
Flash forward 100 years, and now here we are on the cyberspace, sending out our communication for all to see. I've really enjoyed it though -although I find myself being put-off when a friend or business associate would start talking to me on a specific subject, and I would become flustered: "Didn't you check out my blog? It's all out there!?!?"
Yes - I view my blog as an ongoing conversation with folks. The other day my mother called and she didn't even mention on the exciting news that my squaw and I are expecting a third child. I had put it out there in my "family" blog. My beautiful squaw - God love her, but she was surprised to find out that I had lost my job two weeks ago; once again put out there for all to see. I guess the kernal of truth in this is - even though the smoke signal goes up, if folks aren't looking in the right direction they just miss the message: Attn: Get Black Coyote's gun - Whitey's feelin' trigger happy.
