Life of the Party: Story Chain

My friend Steve and I came up with an idea a few years ago that is still in the mill. It is a board game titled "Life of the Party". It is a game of quick wits, creative thinking, and a load of laughs.

This weekend we will be testing out one of the games. It is the first time it's been posted on EBL, so I hope that we have a good turn out. Please tell your friends, blog-friends, and even Aunt Stella to come here and partake of the fun.

It would be sweet to have worldwide interaction, and for the benefit of Steve, if we could make sure that someone from Denmark or actually any Nordic country contribute it would really mean a lot to him.

The game at hand is Story Chain. If you were playing the board game version it would be playable with two to six people. Actually - I guess the amount is really infinite, but then it'd just take forever to get back to you. If you've gone through the American education system prior to 1997 then you probably are familiar with this. I will begin with a premise of a story and fill in the first two sentences. Then it gets passed on. So add to the story by clicking the insights and limit your addition by one to four sentences. Let's see what happens.

The premise of the story is of a bunny who doesn't know how to hop and needs to learn how. So go to the insights and see how the story unfolds.

Long ago, but not so long ago. There was a bunny named Herbert who did not know who to hop.

Little Sandra was so pretty, but she seemed put off when Herbert tried to buy her carrot juice. Herbert was a bunny, after all, and was expected to add to the bunny population. How was this to happen when Sandra was so offended by his very presence and Margaret had such bitty bunny breasts?

yes yes..little lemons is what margaret did display. She wanted Herbert to suckle her lemon juice on the balcony not to mislead or portray.
For she wanted his carrot juice in an old fasnhioned way.

Yes. Herbert thought he would adopt a carrot and stick policy.Dangle the carrot and if not use the stick.

Herbert was frustrated, when his friend Sammy said:

"Herb- you're attempts will continue to flop until you learn how to hop!"

Herbert's cousin was standing by the door.

You'll learn how to hop when you walk over my threshhold. Into my "good" home. Then through me you will be set.

Becuase you only know sammy through me!!

Then we will take you to the Carnival and charge!! That's it Herb-we will let all the people see how a poor little bunny didn't know how to hop. Then whala through ME you learned. It will be the show of the year.

After purchasing his ticket to the carnival, little bunny Herbert was approached by a hipster douche bag named Ken who sold him cocaine in exchange for some bunny lovin' behind the Tilt-A-Whirl.

Morty jolted upright, covered in sweat, breathing heavily, dazed and confused; it was another nightmare - and he was the recurring character Herb, a bunny who did not know how to hop. I have to lay off the Mt. Dew and Fruity Pepple mix Morty thought.

But Morty really was sooo full from Pancakes and sausages that he fell into the deep sleep. It wasn't a nightmare, Morty thought..it was a dream a dream that maybe people would accept him as he is...not all bunnies have to hop. Just like some people can not walk..run....see or hear.
Herb is a fine bunny..One with great intent. If the other carnival goers could just see that.
And not make asumptions ALL the time.

And yet, was he less of a bunny? Was there not more to a bunny than the hopping?

"No," thought Herb/Morty. A bunny MUST hop if he wants to get anywhere in life...

Marti said...

Hope not hop.
